They have a wildlife rescue out there with many wonderful critters.
The critters that are on display are the animals that have been injured and are now unable to survive on their own out in the wild. They have a bobcat that someone decided to try and tame so they had it completely declawed. He looked so cute but I know that I would not want to be face to face with a wild one. He was lounging on a platform snoozing and occasionally he would look at us as if to say, "so what are you looking at me for?"
A very nice experience. I am looking forward to visiting this place again.
This is a creative outlet for me. I enjoy photography and enjoy showing it to others. Feel free to leave a comment, I do appreciate feedback.
I truly think that there is more beauty in imperfection than perfection, for it is the imperfect things that truly make us beautiful. --me

These were great! I loved seeing the wood duck, the bobcat (I encountered one before out on my in-laws property but it ran away and did no harm) and especially that owl - what a precious face on that one!
The pictures are very informative. It is nice to know that even injured or otherwise helpless birds and animals have a safe place to live.
Wildlife rescue centers are great places. Your photos are wonderful reminders of how precious our wild creatures are.
We went to a similar place on Labor Day. Each animal had the story of why it was there. Some were injured in the wild, but I couldn't believe how many were illegal pets that for some reason or another could not longer live in the wild. Sad, but looking at that Bobcat, I might want one, too!
