They're a Bloomin'

These images are actually from last July but things are definitely in full bloom here in Mid-Michigan. I am finally starting to find a routine that works for me but I know this will change, I have toddler boys but they will be in school soon enough and I will have lots of time on my hands, so for now I am enjoying the time that I have with them and that is another reason why I have been so infrequent with my postings. Thanks to all those who still are following and reading, you are part of why I do this.

Silken Rose Petals

This rose is from the bouquet sent to the funeral home for my dad. The UAW sent these along with a Bible. These roses were beautiful and they reminded my mom of the bouquet of artificial roses that my dad had gotten her not to long ago. The artificial roses had watermarks on the petals that read "I Love You" on them. So when she looked at this bouquet of cut roses she was reminded of those words "I Love You".

I'm back sort of. I have some images to share over the next few days of my granny's roses. I took these images just over a month ago and have played around with them a bit to come up with something that I like. My plan is to frame each image and hang them together in a grouping for her.

What's in a Name?

This image is from November 2005. I thought it quite fitting for the title. Surprisingly I don't have many rose images. I was surprised that this little rose was still out this late in the season.

I found this meme game on the Potted Frog site and thought it would be fun. What if I needed a different name? What if I needed to go into the witness protection program? What if I wake up tomorrow with superhero powers? How would I come up with a name then? Well, here's the answer:

11. TV Weather Anchor Name: Anthony Austin (your 5th grade teacher’s last name, a major city that starts with the same letter)

12. Spy Name: Winter Lily (Your favorite holiday/season, flower)

13. Cartoon Name: Pear Capriey (Favorite Fruit, article of clothing you are wearing right now+ “ie” or “y”)
