Romance at the Renaissance

I took this image a few years ago out at the Michigan Renaissance Festival grounds. I'll admit I was being snap happy and was a bit frustrated when I realized that I had forgotten to reset my camera from the previous setting but lucky for me as sometimes happens even mistakes can result in beautiful images. I personally really enjoy the softness that has been created in the image. I believe that it lends itself really well to the subject matter. And honestly if I didn't actually tell you it was a lucky accident would you have even known?

I like the softness - makes the flower even more pretty.

I think the soft focus adds a sense of romance and dreaminess to it. Very pretty.

Shellmo - thanks I agree that the softness adds to the beauty of the flower. That is one of the reasons why I think I like it so much.

Sandpiper - Thank you. I don't think I but the dreaminess aspect into the perspective of this photo but you are right and you have given me another reason to like this image.

For the people - thanks I am truly happy with the image especially since I thought it wasn't going to be good at all. One of the short falls of film, you never know what you really have until it is developed. But I think in some ways I still like the mystery not that I don't like the instant satisfaction of digital.
